Karin Robinson and Tim Burrowes Join Matt Deegan
The BBC’s facing renewed heat about Gaza - this time from two sources. Firstly the ongoing row about Gaza: Doctors Under Attack being cancelled by the BBC and showing up on Channel 4 and then the issues surrounding the broadcast of Bob Vylan’s IDF comments at the Glastonbury Festival. Is the BBC’s Tim Davie able to resist the pressure? Karin Robinson, Senior Director of Strategy at Edelman gives her take on what brands need to do when faced with Middle East controversy.
Also on the show Tim Burrowes, a Brit who lives in Australia and publishes two media titles - Mumbrella and Unmade - as well as presenting the ABC’s Medialand podcast. He’s over in the UK to visit Mad//Fest and he tells us what warning Martin Sorrell has issued.
We also look at how both YouTube and Podcast creators want recognition from the government and what the UK could learn from Australian media.
