Charlotte Moore Leaves the BBC, Westwood Report Published and C5 News Rises
Chris Curtis, Warren Nettleford and Jake Chudnow Join Matt Deegan
It’s always fun to have a breaking story when we’re about to record the podcast. And this was a big one! Charlotte Moore, the Chief Creative Officer for the BBC, who’s basically in charge of all output except the news, has announced she’s leaving the BBC. She’s moving to Sony-owned Left Bank Pictures as CEO.
Chris Curtis, the Editor of Broadcast, unpacks the news as we also try and think who’ll succeed her in the top job.
Reporter and newly launched audio indie founder, Warren Nettleford tells us about his new venture plus we look at the investigation into Tim Westwood’s conduct. We also get an insight into Five News, which is riding high at the moment, from both Warren who used to work there and Chris, who’s recently interviewed the C5 brass.
Finally, hot on the heals of celebrating 1 million paying subscribers to their audio app, Podimo UK boss Jake Chudnow tells us about that journey.
Oh, and if you want to follow us - we’re on Bluesky, X, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and LinkedIn.
